SMART promotes SMEs involvement in R&D projects in the Surface Transport sector, in particular in the current FP7 SST open call for proposals, by linking regional clusters, Large Enterprises, SMEs and favoring new collaborations among them on the basis of concrete project ideas.

One of the mission of the  “Kilometro Rosso” Science Park is to create strong links between science, industrial research, technological development and innovation, supporting high technological and innovative companies in taking part in national and international research programs. SMEs  belonging to its network as well as other public and private organizations willing to get involved in EU R&D activities in the Surface Transport sector will benefit from the synergy with the SMART project and from the added value services provided. 

This SMART International event foresaw the presentation of available funding opportunities for the Transport sector, best practices and experiences by organizations active in the FP7 and a specific Brokerage session: project ideas searching for partners presented.
